Dillon McCowan opens up 2025 with 10th-place outing in Wild West Shootout opener
On Saturday afternoon, Dillon McCowan started out his 2025 race season out West at Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park for the first night of the Wild West Shootout.
Among a 47-car field checked in, McCowan qualified 12th-quickest in his group but charged from sixth-to-third in a heat race to make the $25,000-to-win opener. Dillon started 11th in the feature and made up one spot to record a Top-10 outing.
On Sunday evening, McCowan started at the tail of the field and made up nine spots to finish 15th.
