Dillon McCowan scores Top-10 outing with Lucas Dirt at Ocala Speedway

Scheduled for five days straight at the facility, Dillon McCowan checked into Ocala (Fla) Speedway on Tuesday night for the Wieland Winter Nationals with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

With a strong field of Super Late Models in the pit area, McCowan recorded finishes of 13th and 19th in the non-points $7,000-to-win main events on Tuesday and Wednesday before landing his best run of the week on Thursday. Dillon started 12th in the $10,000-to-win feature and drove to a Top-10 finish in 10th

After sitting Friday's show out, McCowan returned for Saturday's $25,000-to-win finale but was unable to make the main event after getting shuffled back in his heat race.
