McCowan eighth in High Bank Heist opener with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
Dillon McCowan made a surprise visit to Eagle (Neb.) Raceway over the weekend, competing with 36 other Lucas Oil Late Model entries for the three-day High Bank Heist.
Finishing sixth in his heat race, McCowan found himself in a B-Main where he grabbed the final transfer spot and earned the 22nd-place starting spot in the 40-lap main event. Dillon stormed through the field and wound up inside the Top-10 in eighth.
On Friday evening, Dillon didn't have to work quite as hard but he still charged through the field from 18th-to-11th in the second $10,000-to-win show.
McCowan dealt with mechanical issues on Saturday night which ended his weekend early.
