McCowan races into Hawkeye 100 at Maquoketa with World of Outlaws

Joining the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Models on Saturday after the weekend opener was rained out, Dillon McCowan was one of 32 cars at Maquekota (Iowa) Speedway for the $20,000-to-win Hawkeye 100.

McCowan finished fifth in his heat race after starting seventh and went on to win his last chance showdown which earned him a spot in the 60-lap finale. Dillon dealt with mechanical issues that prevented him from starting the A-Main.
