McCowan gets first-career victory with Adam Family Motorsports Springfield Raceway
Banks $6,064 Rex McCroskey Memorial
URBANA, Mo. (09/02/25) – Dillon McCowan scored his first win of the season with Adam Family Motorsports on Sunday night, claiming a $6,064 payday in the Rex McCroskey Memorial at Springfield Raceway.
The victory marked McCowan’s second career COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) win, and his second triumph at the Missouri oval in the past year, following his Turkey Bowl XVIII victory last November.
“I can’t say enough about the racetrack, all I’ve heard is how it peels apart. If you can’t take a look at this thing and think it ain’t one of the best tracks in the country, you’re kidding yourself,” McCowan said. “I knew once Logan (Martin) got out there in front, he’d be hard to beat, he’s really good here. Obviously, everybody knows Clay (Stuckey) is really good here, we’ve had some hellacious battles.”
McCowan and the Adam Family Motorsports team kicked off their Labor Day weekend on Friday at Lucas Oil Speedway with the Ron Jenkins Memorial. He posted a 10th-place finish in the opener and improved to seventh in Saturday night’s $12,000-to-win A-Main.
The weekend concluded at Springfield Raceway on Sunday, where McCowan topped his 19-car qualifying group in time trials, then backed it up with a heat race win. In the 31-lap main event, he took command late and led the final eight laps to secure the win in the memorial race honoring the late Rex McCroskey.
