McCowan runner-up in March Madness finale at Springfield Raceway
Back in familiar territory over the weekend, Dillon McCowan unloaded his No. 9 machine at Springfield (Mo.) Raceway for the first of two nights with the Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) on Friday night.
After losing a few spots in his heat race, McCowan started 21st in the 30-lap opener and ran down a Top-10 position in seventh. Dillon started off the night much better on Saturday evening as he qualified fifth-quickest and ran second in his heat race. In the $5,000-to-win finale, McCowan passed three competitors and wound up second to Tony Jackson Jr.
