Dillon McCowan shows speed with FloRacing Night in America at Spoon River Speedway

Navigating through wet weather all week, Dillon McCowan kicked off Illinois Speedweek with FloRacing Night in America on Wednesday evening at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) with a $20,000-to-win show after losing the series opener at LaSalle (Ill.) Speedway on Tuesday evening.

McCowan showed speed during his qualifying session and ran runner-up in his heat race. Dillon then fell back in the 50-lap main event and finished 22nd. The Thursday night show at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway was washed out after rain showers hit the facility during heat races.

Dillon then went to Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday for the Spring Shootout after the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series weekend opener at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway was also lost to Mother Nature. Dillon finished 23rd in the $30,000 finale.
